With such a close proximity to New York City, Norwalk is an excellent option for a commercial building. Selecting a roof structure that not only protects your structure from natural elements, but is also easy to install, maintain, is cost effective and adds value to the building is the cherry on top. Additionally, while sloped roofs do offer a higher aesthetic appeal than a flat roof, opting for a flat option is typically the best choice for a commercial building. With such significant square footage, flat roofs are less expensive, easier to install, repair and maintain, offer quick access to the roof itself and provide ample space for additional equipment such as AC vents, exhaust, green roof materials and/or PV panels.

Our Main Commercial Flat Roof Systems

Kings Roofing’s most commonly installed materials and roof services include:

Hot Tar System

Made of multiple layers of fiberglass-based asphalt and reinforcing plies, hot tar systems are one of the most widely used throughout the U.S. in the past 100 years. These systems are often referred to as “built up roofs” or “BUR”, and provide a durable and waterproof protection for your commercial building.

Torch Down Systems

Torch down systems are also made of multiple layers of asphalt and plies, however, with this system, the overlapping layers are “torched down” to create a virtually seamless rubber membrane that protects from water and adds additional strength to the roof structure.

White TPO Systems

Short for “thermoplastic”, TPO systems are a single-ply rubber membrane made of ethylene and propylene. The seams are welded together with hot air to create a seamless rubber membrane that is highly resistant to water, algae, chemicals, fire, wind and other extreme weather.

EPDM Systems

Short for ethylene propylene diene terpolymer, EPDM systems are one of our most popular commercial flat roofing services, praised for its high durability and versatility as well as ease of installation, maintenance and repair. The elements are combined to create a thick rubber membrane to provide excellent protection from water and wind.
